The Illinois Department of Transportation will be replacing the pavement on IL 50 from South of Brookmont Boulevard to North of US 45/52 in Kankakee. This includes both sides of the one-way couple that exists on Indiana Avenue and S. Harrison Avenue between River Street and Fair Street. This work will evaluate bicycle and pedestrian facilities, drainage upgrades or repairs, geometric improvements, curb and gutter, lighting, traffic signals, structure preservation, and safety and may include improvements for these elements.
